Cambridge Cottage Kew Gardens Wedding Photography - The natural and flowery wedding of Kristal and Toby
We are very excited to be sharing with you this couple's beautiful day. When Kristal and Toby first contacted us, we could not believe they were actually getting married right in the heart of Kew Gardens, what a unique and fantastic location to pick. When we got to know Kristal and Toby a bit better in occasion of their pre wedding photoshoot in Richmond Park (you can have a look at the album just here) we got a clearer idea of the reason why they picked this fantastic location. Toby was literally in love with Kew Gardens, he used to volunteer there and spend a good deal of his time in its woods. So, what better location for his wedding but the actual gardens? And we were literally over the moon to know that they wanted to take a proper trip through the gardens on the wedding day for their photo shoot, we could not have hoped for a better setting for the couple pictures. Being so in love with nature and with wedding photos of couples surrounded by nature, this could just be the perfect scenery. And quite frankly, we were not expecting to find a forest of redwoods, that was the most pleasant surprise, we have been sharing these images so much, we just find them so incredible, especially because they were taken in London, the busiest city in Europe, and you really would not expect to find something quite like that!
The day unfolded in a very natural way. The bridal preparation took place at the Petersham hotel in Richmond, a stunning location. Being two wedding photographers, we have the big advantage of being able to split during the day to photograph different moments that take place at the same time, so while Benni was busy with the bridal preparation in Richmond, Carol went to Kew to photograph the groom getting ready with his bestman.
The morning at Toby's was very relaxed, he'd been unwrapping gifts from Kristal for most of the morning and he took a nice walk from his place to Cambridge Cottage, the stunning wedding venue.
The main theme of their wedding was of course flowers (could it honestly have been a different one?!). The ceremony room was all decorated with the most beautiful flowers as was the reception room. Their tables were all named after flowers and the cake had some beautiful sugary flowers all over it.
Once again being in two worked out to be quite handy, we could split and take pictures of the guests while enjoying the trip through the gardens that Kristal & Toby organised for them and at the same time we could take the couple pictures all around Kew Gardens ground, just beautiful!
Well, I guess this is pretty much all, or kind of, there is always so much else to add!
Here below you will find a list of the wedding suppliers that made this day possible, in case you were looking for some bridal inspiration!
Enjoy the photos,
Benni & Carol xx
