Wedding at San Galgano Abbey, Chiusdino

Getting married in one of the most evocative venues in Tuscany

You are planning on having a destination wedding in the beautiful Tuscany and you are starting to scout through potential venues for your day. If you want your wedding to be held in one of the most unique and fabulous venues you can ever think of, well then San Galgano Abbey in Chiusdino (Siena) is really the venue tailored for your needs.

San Galgano is the perfect place to say "I do" if you want a civil ceremony to be held in a unique roofless Abbey. Flourished during the 14th century, it started its decline a century after, when it began to be plundered and ended up in ruins. It is through its dense history that the Abbey got that unique and evocative atmosphere that can hardly be found in other places around Tuscany.

In fact, having worked in many different locations throughout Italy, we can say with a good degree of certainty that San Galgano is one of a kind and it will surely leave your guests totally wowed! Without mentioning of course the magical setting in which you will exchange your vows and say the most important "I do" of your life.

We are still so stunned by the fact that we will photograph a wedding here next year, we simply cannot wait! Last Sunday we decided to do a bit of location scouting to see where the best light was going to be at what time and to study the best spots for photos. We were there with a very special assistant who kept making her theatrical appearance constantly, let's see if you can spot her!! :D

If you need any info at all on weddings in Tuscany, just browse through our BLOG and find out all you need to know about getting married here and of course do not hesitate to get in touch for any info about destination wedding photography.

Enjoy the photos,
