Hind & Chris: an alternative wedding in London

When Hind and Chris first got in touch to ask if we could document their wedding in London, we were just over the moon! We had the absolute privilege to meet them on several other occasions as we photographed the weddings of all Hind's sisters and many of their friends, so it was a matter of keeping on with a tradition we simply loved!

AN ALTERNATIVE BRIDE IN RED FOR AN ALTERNATIVE WEDDING IN LONDON

Describing Hind just as "an alternative super cool bride" wouldn't be fair to the absolutely gorgeous outfit she pulled off on her day. If you are picturing a traditional bride wearing white on her wedding, well, forget all about it as Hind turned completely upside down the whole "white-bride concept" and walked down the aisle with the most beautiful and unconventional red bridal gown by Alamour the Label! And of course, all of her bridesmaids were wearing white dresses, what a statement of strong personality!

Her bouquet was perfectly in line with the concept of breaking the white rules and she chose beautiful big white hydrangeas paired together with red roses, which were also the main feature of her alternative wedding shoes. It was made from scratch by Hind's sister-in-law, how amazing is that?!

CEREMONY AT CHELSEA OLD TOWN HALL, LONDON

The ceremony was held at the Chelsea Old Town Hall, one of the best registry offices in London, and a venue we know very well as we had the pleasure of photographing so many weddings there. Brydon Room's golden tones contributed to confer a solemn yet romantic atmosphere during the ceremony, while the iconic stairs were, as always, the perfect backdrop for joyful confetti showers, glamorous couple pictures and formal group pictures.

LONDON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER: COUPLE PICTURES AT BOROUGH MARKET

On our way to the reception venue, we stopped for some stylish wedding couple pictures in some of the most iconic places in central London like Borough Market, with beautiful views of the Shard in the back. The natural and candid attitude of Hind and Chris made it so easy to take unposed wedding photos around London, everything just came spontaneously and with great fun!

WEDDING RECEPTION AT THE GOLDEN HINDE, LONDON

And how about having your wedding reception in a reconstruction of the first English galleon to sail around the world? The wedding reception at The Golden Hinde in London was just the icing of the cake of a super stylish and completely unconventional wedding. The peculiarity of the venue was the perfect setting to take some moody and super fun shots of the whole bridal party that simply ended in the best way possible a truly wonderful day!
