Getting married on a rainy day is probably one of the biggest fears couples have during the entire lead up to the wedding. Honestly, we really cannot blame them. After having spent so much energy and thoughts into something, you really don’t want it to be spoiled by the rain. However, we can never stress enough how much your attitude towards it can totally flip the coin and help you enjoy your day no matter what.

Why are we mentioning the rain you may ask? Well, the destination wedding of Gina and Andrei at Residenza Antica Flaminia wasn’t exactly what one may call “a sunny day”: a storm (and we’re talking proper storm!) was looming in and actually showed itself in its whole glorious strength during the ceremony. Not before, nor after, right in the middle of the ceremony. And do you want to know what happened? NOTHING, the guests opened up their umbrellas, Gina and Andrei stayed underneath the pouring rain and they got married, happily, regardless of the weather! And we bet if you asked them about their day, they wouldn’t even mention the rain, they would only mention the laughs, the joy and happiness!

After getting ready separately, Gina and Andrei decided to have a first look and live in complete intimacy one of the most emotional moments of a wedding day. We suggested having it in front of the stunning floral composition that Leandro Flowers made for their outdoor ceremony. The lighting and frame were simply beautiful.

First look at Residenza Antica Flaminia, Rome

After a rainy outdoor ceremony, they had an aperitivo with their guests, only to sneak off as soon as we saw that the rain had stopped and that a beautiful light was coming out.

"On a rainy day we keep monitoring the conditions of the weather and as soon as we see that a little window for pictures opens up, we make you aware of it and we quickly take you out to make sure you end up with some beautiful portraits regardless of the rain."

After their couple pictures, Gina and Andrei went back to enjoying their guests and reception, followed by the cutting of the cake and the first dance.

Honestly, one of the most joyful days of the season. Both documenting Gina & Andrei's wedding at Residenza Antica Flaminia, Rome and working on their pictures later had been a bliss.

We cannot thank enough guys for choosing us to witness and document such a day. THANK YOU.
