It is with great pleasure that we share today our favourite selection of images from Gina & Per's unforgettable day in Yelden! You'll have to excuse the number of photos we've chosen this time, it's been so hard to come down to these, they feel so many and still not enough to describe such an epic day!
Gina and Per envisioned an outdoor wedding from the very beginning, even though getting married in Gina’s hometown village was extremely important to her. They then decided to use the backyard of Yelden Village Hall and set up their reception tipi tent there. The colour theme they chose for their day was a lilac pale colour and you could really see the pattern going through every detail they chose. Gina’s favourite flower is the lavender, hence the colour theme. Her mother has a beautiful garden full of lavender and she had it freshly picked in the morning to decorate the church and infuse it with its wonderful perfume.
We loved that Gina opted to go for low shoes which she changed just after the ceremony, swapping them with an amazing pair of lilac All Star sneakers.. needless to say that she really pulled them off!! Also, how handy were they for the couple shooting? Going into open fields in the English countryside in a pair of super comfy sneakers makes everything so much easier!!
If we had to choose three of our favourite details from their wedding, we'd go for:
- The seating chart display, made of two golden loops decorated with eucalyptus leaves with the actual seating plan hanging from them.
- Flowers, rustic chic flowers, so so incredibly beautiful
- Wedding cake decorated with actual flowers, so more and more flowers all around!!
Oh right, and the photo booth made out of hay of course, not only did it look beautiful and in perfect fit with the whole country chic concept, but it also served perfectly for some fun, alternative photos both of the couple and of all the guests!
So really, a must have!!
