What is my favourite thing about living in Florence you ask? Well, it's really hard to tell.. I guess that one aspect I really love about being based in this wonderful city, is that I get to reach amazing places in just a couple of hours and one of the places I can reach super easily is Rome.
Rome, the ancient city. Rome, the city that has more charme than any other city in the world. When you walk through its streets you really get the feeling of being thrown back in the past, literally everything speaks of history.
You can imagine how thrilled Benni and I were when we got Pamela&Han's email: "We are a couple coming from Singapore, having a trip in Europe. We see from your website that you are based both in Florence and Hastings, UK and we would love you to photograph a session in Rome and another session in the UK, is that something you would be up to?". Of course, what works better than that for us!!
So we started planning the sessions. I have to confess that Rome can be a bit overwhelming, it is such a vast and busy city, dense of things to see and do and if you are not based there it is really hard to pick the best locations for an engagement session. Nothing would have been even possible if it weren't for our dear friend Fabio at www.fabioamicucci.com, a wedding photographer based in Rome that we met a few years back and that has been our friend ever since.
So he picked his car and he drove us through this magnificent city, taking photos of this gorgeous couple too, making the session simply pure pleasure (despite the freaking heat!!).
Well, what can I say, we finished the session with a big smile on our faces, tired, but happy!
If you are curious about the locations we covered on this wonderful engagement session in Rome, here is a list: Fori Imperiali, Campidoglio, Colosseo, Gianicolo.
Hope you enjoy the photos,
Benni & Carol xx
