It is no secret that we are big fans of pre-wedding, engagement sessions: you get to discover new places, make some gorgeous memories together, you get to know your couple before the wedding and talk about the day for a good two hours. But there is more: especially when it comes to destination weddings, it has become very popular to create a wedding website in which the couple can convey all the info about the wedding to their guests with just one click. And what better way to make a wedding website than using professional photos taken in your favourite place or, even better, in the city in which you will get married?
We planned Mel & Eugene's engagement session in Florence a few months prior to their wedding so that they had enough time to put up their website and use the photos from the session.
We covered all the most iconic places around the city. Being destination wedding photographers based in Florence, we knew the best times and places to go to and avoid the people that a city such as Florence attracts each year. It was a fun and relaxed session, Mel & Eugene were simply gorgeous and we couldn’t get more excited about their day.
"Can you please just pencil the day down for me?": with this little sentence a few months back our wonderful journey with one of the most incredible couples ever just started. I was actually shopping for a washing machine (unfortunately it has been a year of house moving!!) when I received the call of our dear friend and wedding planner Claudia at CG Wedding and Event designer, with whom we had the absolute pleasure to work before. "They are two amazing guys from London, getting married next year at the most charming location in Tuscany, Castello il Palagio, they fell in love with your photos and want to book with you guys!". It sounded just too good to be true, we couldn't believe that we were going to work in such a stunning location only a few months after receiving that call. We were (and are) so excited, but quite frankly after having met Mel and Eugene and after having seen how cool and charming they are, we are so overly excited about being their photographers!
Can't stress enough how much we love engagement sessions in Florence. Walking through its streets so early in the morning and feeling like it's there only for you, it's just one unique experience.
And all of this gets topped off by the fact that we will be working with Claudia again, she simply makes the most amazing weddings. You can check out the first wedding we did together earlier this year at L'antica Fattoria di Paterno, also a good way to start being inspired for your own destination wedding in Tuscany:
